Why New York families start with a free lesson

New York families attempting Hifz usually have the ambition and not the daily hour. Memorisation is not a twice-a-week activity; it needs short sessions most days, and that is very hard to arrange around a Brooklyn or Queens school commute plus an evening programme. The free trial shows you what a daily one-to-one Hifz lesson actually involves before you build a year on it.

In the trial the student recites something already memorised while the teacher listens for accuracy and for whether pronunciation holds up under recall. Then you are told honestly whether the student is ready for new lines or should spend a few weeks making the existing pages secure.

The structure matters more than the ambition: new memorisation, recent revision and old revision have to run together. Students who add pages without revising them lose the earlier juz by Ramadan, which is the single most common Hifz failure we see in New York.

There is no New York centre to attend. Lessons are private video classes, which is what makes five short sessions a week possible for a family that could not manage two long ones.
