Pick the slot you can protect
A 30-minute class at a time you can defend every week beats a 60-minute class you cancel twice a month. For school-age children that is usually right after school or straight after Maghrib.
Typical timings by country
- USA and Canada: weekday after-school slots in ET, CT, MT, PT, plus weekend mornings
- UK: late-afternoon and evening slots in GMT/BST, with longer weekend sessions
- Australia: before-school mornings or evening slots in AEST, ACST and AWST
How many classes per week?
Two classes per week suits beginners who also practise at home. Five shorter classes per week suit Hifz students and young children who benefit from daily repetition rather than long sessions.
Plan for the disruptions
Exams, travel and Ramadan all change the routine. Agree with your teacher in advance how rescheduling works, so a busy fortnight does not turn into a three-month break.
