Why Wollongong families start with a free lesson
Before any commitment, Wollongong students take one free kids lesson with a qualified teacher — recitation heard, level assessed, next steps explained in plain terms.
We know the practical problem in Wollongong: families along the Illawarra with a long drive north for anything Sydney-based. An online slot in your own time zone removes the travel question entirely.
Children start wherever they actually are. A five-year-old who has never held a Qaida works on letter shapes and sounds; an eight-year-old who reads quickly but drops harakat spends the lesson slowing down. Because the teacher has one student, nothing is paced to the middle of a group.
Lessons are taught by qualified Quran teachers over video, in English, with Arabic pronunciation modelled from the letter up. Female teachers are available on request.
We do not operate a campus in Wollongong. Everything is taught online one-to-one, which is why availability does not depend on where in the city you live.
What makes the class different
- Paced to your child, not a class averageOne teacher, one child, 30 focused minutes. Letters, sounds and harakat are corrected in the moment instead of being marked at the end of a group session.
- A slot you choosePick the day and time that fits your week. If something clashes later, we move the lesson instead of writing it off.
- Male or female teachersSay which you would prefer when booking. Both are available at the same rates and the same times.
- Truly one-to-oneOne teacher, one student, the whole lesson. Mistakes are corrected as they happen instead of going unnoticed in a group of twenty.
Class times in AEST/AEDT
Your lesson is fixed to AEST/AEDT — we handle the teacher's side of the clock, including daylight-saving shifts, so the Wollongong time never moves. Early-morning and after-school slots on weekdays, plus weekend mornings. See monthly plans for what happens after the trial.

What Wollongong Families Say
Feedback from students and parents about one-to-one lessons with our teachers.
“We started with the Arabic letters and sounds, and my daughter was reading short words confidently within a few months of one-to-one classes.”
Hafsa F.Wollongong · Noorani Qaida “My teacher corrects me while I recite, rule by rule, so pronunciation habits get fixed straight away instead of sticking around for years.”
Ibrahim F.Wollongong · Tajweed “Keeping the same weekly slot and the same teacher has made memorisation manageable, and revision in every lesson means earlier surahs stay strong.”

- Yes. The first lesson is free, no card details are taken, and there is no automatic enrolment afterwards. You decide once you have seen the class.
- How do I book?
- Send us your details through the form on this page or message us on WhatsApp. We reply with two or three available slots and confirm one with you.
